To refresh the branding for traditional family brewery Ossett, based in Yorkshire. With this in mind, staying true to their proud Yorkshire roots and ‘proper pint’ ethos was imperative.

In order to gain a deeper understanding into the life of the locals, we hosted interviews for regular Ossett and other craft beer drinkers alike. By doing so, we ultimately defined what Ossett really meant to them and how best to engage with their target market.
In this case, we explored a number of directions. Thus ranging from simple typographic executions – to iconic graphics and brewers signatures.
BRINGING IT TO LIFE
We chose to apply a hand crafted illustrative approach to demonstrate Ossett’s philosophy as the core beers took inspiration from Yorkshire icons. The logo was subtly evolved to modernise and aid printability.
BUILDING THE STORY
The brand extended through different merchandise and a range of printed collateral. We also created a full suite of brand guidelines to ensure the brand vision stays true throughout all communications in the future.
Ossett are currently expanding their brewery and continue to grow their pub estate, due to increased demand.
