To create branding, packaging and supporting materials for a new range of Sri-lankan, coconut-based products.
After analysing the market, we identified a sweet-spot for Puro to occupy that combined simple messaging with colourful, engaging illustrations.
As the name ‘Puro’ suggests, the product is produced using pure coconuts, never bleached or chemically refined. To reflect this, our strategy was to keep the messaging clear and the design clean so that consumers could easily digest the information.
We kept the architecture simple to ensure the range could flex over multiple products and formats and created a full suite of peacock illustrations (the national bird of Sri-Lanka) in various poses to aid product differentiation. We then created full brand guidelines to ensure consistency across future work.
By capitalising on the market opportunities, Puro has been a massive success since it’s launch, outselling established competitors by achieving cut through in both the UK and international markets within its first six months.
